Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Shengmoo collects when you visit shengmoo.com (the “Site”), make a reservation, contact us, or visit our restaurant, and how that information is used, shared, and protected.

1. Who we are

Shengmoo 聖牧 is a restaurant concept and brand owned by Tabmac Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Tabmac,” “we,” “us,” “our”). Our first location is owned and operated by Shengmoo CA01 LLC, a California limited liability company and Tabmac Inc. affiliate. As additional locations open, each is operated by its own Shengmoo affiliate entity under common ownership with Tabmac Inc. This policy applies to all of them collectively — references to “Shengmoo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” below mean whichever Tabmac Inc. affiliate operates the Site or the location you are dealing with.

Tabmac Inc. determines how personal information is used across the Shengmoo brand and is who to contact with privacy questions — see Contact Us below.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a reservation request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, party size, requested date and time, occasion (optional), and any notes you add. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. We use these only to handle your booking or reply to you — see How we use it.

Information collected automatically. Like essentially every website, ours is served through infrastructure (Cloudflare) that processes standard technical data to deliver and secure the Site — your IP address, browser and device information, and request timestamps. If you submit a form repeatedly in a short window, we may retain your IP address briefly, solely to prevent abuse of the reservation and contact forms.

Information from your visit. If you dine with us in person, payment is processed by our point-of-sale and payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems. If our locations use security cameras, footage is handled under separate, location-specific arrangements and is not part of this website’s data collection.

We do not currently receive information about you from social media platforms, ad networks, or delivery/ordering partners. If that changes — for example, if we add online ordering or a loyalty program — we will update this policy first.

3. How we use information

• To process and confirm your reservation, or to respond to your message
• To reach you about a booking — including by phone, for large parties or time-sensitive changes
• To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent form submissions
• To keep the Site secure and operating correctly
• To comply with legal obligations, or to protect the rights and safety of our guests and staff

We do not use your information for automated advertising profiles, and we do not currently send marketing emails or texts. If we introduce a mailing list in the future, you will only be added if you opt in, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the Site and handle reservations — our hosting provider (Cloudflare), and, if the restaurant has configured one, a third-party destination for incoming booking and contact requests (for example, a Slack, email, or spreadsheet integration the restaurant sets up). These providers only receive what is necessary to perform that service.
• With Shengmoo affiliates — other Shengmoo-branded restaurant operating entities under common ownership with Tabmac Inc. — for example, if your request needs to be handled by a different location.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Shengmoo, our guests, or the public.
• In a business transaction — if Tabmac Inc. or a Shengmoo affiliate is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal, subject to this policy or a successor policy you’re notified of.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and runs no third-party trackers or pixels. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set a small number of strictly operational cookies (for example, to distinguish legitimate traffic from bots) as part of keeping the Site secure and available; these are not used to track you across other websites. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, this section will be updated to say so before we do, and where required we will ask for your consent first.

6. Data retention

Reservation and contact submissions are kept only as long as needed to fulfill your request and for reasonable business record-keeping (for example, to resolve a dispute about a booking), and are then deleted. Abuse-prevention data tied to form submissions (see “Information collected automatically” above) expires automatically after a short window.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@shengmoo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise a California privacy right, use the contact details below; we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

8. Children’s privacy

This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-party links

The Site links to third parties we don’t control — our Instagram page, and a map link to our location. Their own privacy practices apply once you leave our Site; we encourage you to review them.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information you share with us, including transport encryption and abuse-rate limiting on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If changes are material, we will give you reasonably prominent notice on this page.
